Since 2005, the attorneys at The Lydia Floyd Law Firm LLC have provided representation for entrepreneurs and professionals across Ohio and the United States. We dedicate ourselves to providing ample time and attention to every matter. Our attorneys have extensive experience in providing legal representation and services and put you, the client, at the center of our practice.

Lydia Floyd

Attorney Floyd represents clients for litigation matters in courts across the country. She helps individuals who are victims of misrepresentations and financial fraud, families who suffered the destruction and misuse of embryos destroyed by their fertility clinics and other fertility center misconduct. She also represents international and local companies in commercial litigation matters. After graduating from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in the top five of her class, Lydia worked at some of the most prestigious national and international law firms. She also worked as a law clerk for Judge James G. Carr in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Lydia is the current chair of the American Association of Justice Business Torts Section and a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar’s Ethics and Judicial Selection Committees. She is also the president of Mid-Day Toastmasters.

Lydia founded The Lydia Floyd Law Firm LLC in 2005 to fulfill her vision of leading a woman-owned law firm focusing on providing excellent legal representation to clients. She is thrilled to have the support of her father and honorary firm member, attorney James Floyd, who has over 40 years of legal experience.

Julie Sumner

Julie Sumner brings to The Lydia Floyd Law Firm LLC close to two decades of experience in business, labor and employment law. As a knowledgeable lawyer, she provides legal advice and guidance for businesses of every size.

Julie regularly provides services to entrepreneurs and startup businesses. She will negotiate, review and prepare a wide variety of employment agreements. Such agreements involve severance packages, noncompete clauses and compensation packages. She also provides services in creating employee handbooks that clearly outline a employees’ expectations and duties. Julie will also assist in updating such procedures and provides guidance concerning employment-related disputes.
